I've been so fortunate to be involved in the beauty industry for 13+ years. Even from a very young age, I knew I was very in tune with my artistic side. My passion for doing hair developed as I found myself cutting hair for many of my friends, in their kitchens, and yes, probably using kitchen scissors!!?
Either way, I knew I was destined for cosmetology school, and found a great education at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis.
Over 4 years ago I found a great home for myself and my clientele at The Rat's Nest. It's a groovy environment for me to welcome my guests, while continuing to educate myself so I can be on top of my game for them, too. What I enjoy the most about my career as a hairstylist are the transformations I get to make daily, whether extreme or minor, and the relationships that I make with my amazing clients that I've had the joy of working with over the years, and the new ones, too! I love helping people outwardly reflect their personalities, and earning their trust. I definitely feel like I'm 'in my element' when I'm behind my chair, and can't imagine doing anything else.
I enjoy all of it...cutting, coloring and styling. I have an extensive amount of experience styling for special occasions (weddings, formals, etc.) and am always eager to be a traveling stylist when the opportunity arrives! I also welcome all of those with curly hair, as I have a knack for taming and enhancing the ringlets…
When not at the salon, I reside in East St. Paul, and I spend as much time as I can with the 2 loves of my life, my husband Jeff and our son, Wes. I greatly enjoy warm weather, camping, hiking, canoeing, biking, music, good food, and spending time with friends and family.
